Both the Metzner AM 3800 and the AM 3850 offer you maximum flexibility. This is because the patented double blade not only enables different cutting techniques, but also cross-sections from 0.5 mm² to 70 mm² | 21 AWG – 00 AWG. What’s more, all this is possible without additional options that are subject to a charge. Of course, your team can change the blades and guides without tools.
Up to 40 % more powerful motors and a particularly gentle feed rate
The Metzner AM 3800 and AM 3850 not only increase the productivity of your production. They also ensure outstanding quality. The conveyor belt protects the material and, thanks to pneumatics, guides it to the knife with the lowest possible slippage. Thanks to this technology, repeat accuracies of +/- 1 mm | 0.04″ are possible at a feed rate of 180 m per minute | 591 ft. per minute. The motor also achieves the necessary force with ease. It is generously dimensioned by design, so that it generates up to 40 % more cutting force than the motors of many other machines. Of course, this also contributes to the quality of the cutting result.
A fully equipped machine with a wide range of applications
A completely new feature is the floating belt. It guides the cable gently and safely. The belt feed modules are also designed to enable a long effective length and high torque. The result is the perfect combination of smooth power transmission and high pull-off force.
The Metzner AM 3800 and AM 3850 also offer a truly complete range of software features, with both MES and PC integration included as standard. The parts list program is also included at no extra charge. Both models are also prepared for all types of pre- and post-processing. The interface for the printer(s) is also included as standard. So you get a solid, durable and fully equipped machine.

Metzner machines are designed to automate your production for many years without any problems once they have been run in. They are characterized by particularly low maintenance. Software upgrades can be installed remotely by Metzner Service on request. Nevertheless, it is possible to adapt your Metzner machine to your individual requirements for cable processing.

The Metzner AM 3800 and the Metzner AM 3850 with a rotary unit as standard can also be adapted to your individual requirements. This can be done, for example, by reprogramming the software. Both machines are also available with automatic processing of the inner conductor. You can also retrofit this module for cable processing.
