More flexibility in cable processing - as standard and without paid extras
Both the AM 2800 and the AM 2850 are equipped with the innovative Metzner double knife cutting head as standard. The two pairs of blades enable you to carry out work processes that a machine with just one pair of blades cannot. Thanks to the double blade, for example, cutting to length, stripping and slitting are possible in a single step. V-blades for cutting to length and radius blades for a precise all-round cut in the insulation can also be combined. And the best thing about it: Metzner gives you this advantage at no extra cost.
Over 50% more cable cross-section than comparable machines
Both models impress with a performance that stands out in their class: With a diameter of 15 mm | 0.6″ and a cross-section of 35 mm² | AWG 2, you get significantly more than with other machines in this class. The motor achieves the necessary power effortlessly. This is because it is generously dimensioned by design, which naturally has a positive effect on the quality of the cutting result.
Floating belt and innovative rotary module
A completely new feature is the floating belt. It guides the cable gently and safely. The belt feed modules are also designed to enable a long effective length and high torque. The result is the perfect combination of smooth power transmission and high pull-off force.
The Metzner AM 2850 also sets new standards in rotary machining. The completely newly developed rotary cutting head ensures high-precision and repeatable processing of multi-layered and complex cables such as coaxial cables.
Software included: everything you need for cable processing
The software of the Metzner AM 2000 series is designed according to the all-inclusive principle. Whether it is the connection of printers or peripheral devices, the automated processing of complex cable lists or integration into an MES system, the models in the AM 2000 series are already equipped for this works. No extra charge, no hidden costs. Of course, the AM 2000 models follow the proven Metzner principle.The modular design makes the machine flexibly expandable and also enables individual adaptations. The modules and housing are easily accessible and therefore extremely easy to maintain.
